  1. Sleep Questionnaire: You will get an email with a questionnaire. The more detailed you are, the more I can help.  I will ask everything from how your birth went to your parenting philosophy. How you answer each question is a great insight into which method/methods I will use. Also, if your child is still napping and is not on a regular schedule (totally normal for kids under 18 months old), I will require a sleep diary/log to be completed for five days. This information will be in the initial email.

  2. The Sleep Plan: I will analyze the sleep diary/log and questionnaire and make a detailed plan for your child. If needed, I will email you with any follow-up questions. If you prefer not to sleep train, I can still analyze your child’s sleep and offer suggestions to improve it without involving sleep training.

  3. Sleep Consulting Call: We will schedule a time for your coaching session if it's part of your plan. This session will last around 60 minutes, during which we will dive into your child’s personalized sleep plan. I’ll guide you on when to start implementing the plan and provide instructions for handling wake-ups. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask any questions or suggest adjustments to the plan. Once we wrap up our discussion, I'll finalize the sleep plan and send it to your email.

  4. Starting your Sleep Plan: You will begin implementing your personalized plan. I will be available as much or as little as you need me.

The time it takes to see results from sleep training varies depending on the method you choose. For example, the cry-it-out method typically works in 3 to 4 days, while a more gentle approach can take a week or so on the light end and a month or more on the long end. There's no right or wrong way to approach this, as every family may have different reasons for choosing each method. I will assess your parenting style and create a plan based on that. If you are not using a sleep training method, the time required to see results can vary, but you should notice a difference within the first week with all plans. All plans come with detailed instructions on what to do if you ever need to reintroduce the plan. They are all modified, and once you successfully introduce a method, it becomes much easier to reintroduce it. Often, this is needed after a family vacation or a period of illness.

We recommend that children be at least four months old before beginning most sleep training methods. It's important to consult with your pediatrician to ensure it's the right time for your child. If your child is under four months old, consider exploring our guides, virtual postpartum services, or our newborn sleep course.

Levels of Support:

from $175.00

Level A: Just the sleep plan. We will not have a phone coaching session; instead, I will send a completed personalized sleep plan after a couple of back-and-forth emails with you. You will then be on your own to implement your plan and troubleshoot. I will give basic troubleshooting instructions in the sleep plan. You can always add assistance if you change your mind.

Level B: This level comes with a phone coaching session and one month of email support. If you have any questions, you can email me for a full month after the day you implement your plan.

Level C: This level comes with a phone coaching session and two full months of sleep support emails, plus a check-in phone call within the first week or so to see how things are going and address any new concerns. These calls typically last around 40 minutes. I will also send my sleep guide for 4 months and older. This is filled with valuable advice and resources to support your child as they grow.

In 2008, I began my first job as a nanny, and it quickly became my pride and joy. I adored the job, especially since the twins were only three months old when I started. They had a solid schedule, and I enjoyed my days with them. However, one day, when I arrived at work, their parents informed me that the twins had escaped from their cribs over the weekend and were now in toddler beds. I still remember my first nap in those toddler beds vividly. It ended in tears, but not from the toddlers - it was me who found myself in new territory.

Going into sleep training without any guidance was not enjoyable. It was a challenging experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Yet, many parents are in the same situation every day. It's important to teach your child good sleep habits, as otherwise, their sleep may be inconsistent, and it can start to affect your sleep patterns. I ended up using the chair method with the twins without even realizing it was a method of sleep training. It was tear-free (for us), and I got to have a power nap while I was in the chair waiting for them to sleep. It was a win-win for all. Without even knowing it, I had sleep-trained.

I am happy to help families during this difficult time and provide guidance without being pushy. I will act as your coach or guide, gathering as much information from you as possible and presenting you with options. After that, I will create a customized plan for your child and discuss it with you step by step. You can then implement the plan, and I can continue to provide support as much or as little as you prefer.
